Meet Oboz – Abby and Dave

September 20, 2010

Oboz has grown…there are six of us now! In the last month, both Abby Lee and Dave Dolph joined the Oboz team, so we thought it high time to introduce them here.

Abby in the Boundary Waters

Abby brings paddling prowess and a touch of glamour to Oboz, note that hefty portage pack and fashionable shades. She grew up on the banks of the Mississippi, so messing around in boats is in her blood. The native Minnesotan and University of Minnesota communications major will bolster our customer service with her wealth of experience–from conservation and environmental education, service with AmeriCorps, and as an event planner and coordinator at the historic Trempealeau Hotel in Wisconsin. When she’s not piloting a canoe or kayak, Abby skis, snowshoes, knits, and makes jewelry (there’s that glam factor again) and, as she says, likes to “stomp trails and be outside.”

Dave takes a face shot for the team

Dave, too, is an outdoor nut…of course. Endurance mountain biking is his passion, as is “transporting myself by bike and exploring mountains and high deserts on foot.” And, evidently, powder shots in the face are a hoot for him, too.  We hired Dave for the firepower he’ll bring to building Oboz footwear from A to Z, as he knows what it takes to tackle all those niggling details that makes a great shoe that is trail worthy and durable. He’s particularly experienced in reducing the materials, resource and environmental impact of footwear manufacturing.  “I’m stoked out of my mind to work for Oboz!” says Dave.  Dave is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado.

Welcome Abby and Dave!
