Oboz Adorns Cover of Backpacker Gear Guide

March 6, 2012

Backpacker's cover girl sporting the Oboz Beartooth boots in Chile

When you’re in the footwear business, you have this peculiar habit of spying at people’s feet. So when Backpacker Magazine arrived in our mail the other day, the first thing we spotted was our Beartooth boots on the cover in a sun-kissed image taken near Talco, Chile on the San Pedro volcano.

Delving into its pages, Backpacker noted that the Beartooth was tested “climbing steep terrain on Chile’s San Pedro Volcano over loose dirt, scree, rock and snow, with and without crampons” and the tester “experienced great support and stability the entire way.”

Our new Mystic for women also was applauded in the Women’s Gear section. Backpacker wrote: “Tired of sloppy-fitting shoes? The Mystic dials in female fit without compromising protection and support. Oboz studied the dimension of women’s feet to design this gender-specific model, trimming volume in select zones rather than overall–as many women’s boots and sock do.” Read the full reviews here.

Thank you Backpacker! We’re happy to outfit your cover girl or guy any ol’ day.
